Help Needed? Enter it in this Forum!

This is the new forum for requesting help. Entries stored here go straight to the TimeSnapper team, and are also visible to other TimeSnapper users. This is not only the best way to guarantee a response, it also means that the answer to your question may help other people who have the same problem (or who have been troubled by the same bug!). (This replaces the "google group" http://groups.google.com.au/group/timesnapper, which acted very effectively in the past. We've decided to bring the forum 'in-house' so we have better control ;-) ) You can also email us: support at timesnapper dot com

thanks for reporting your problem!
well it looks like this stored procedure SPGETOPTION isn't on your database... i can't think why that would be.

Could you try uninstalling timesnapper and re-installing it?
Either way, I'll do some investigation here.

best of luck, thanks again

Hello,

I was testing the Timesnapper classic.  Is there a way to make Timesnapper continue to take screenshots even when there is no activity on the computer.  I have a utility running and would like to take screen shots even when I am not using the computer.  I tried Timesnapper a couple times, and unless there is activity (mouse or keyboard) no screen shots are taken

Thanks

Hi Skidds,

yes it's possible to do this although not very user-friendly in TimeSnapper Classic.

yes i have reinstalled it but it did not help.

i have located my database. It's in folder
"C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\TimeSnapper\Database" right?

i have uploaded it so maybe you can better inspect my problem.

i'm heavily using timesnapper free and willing to evaluate pro version.

Hi Onur,

sorry to hear this hasn't worked out for you yet.  Lets try to get to the bottom of this!

I took a look at your database and it seems that the database creation process was only partial (only one table got created and no procedures).  We have never encounter this before.

Could you try to:

1. delete the database file (TimeSnapper will automatically recreate it)
2. Install the latest version v. 2.1 (http://www.timesnapper.com/downloads/TimeSnapperProSetup_21.exe)
3. Start TimeSnapper

If that doesn't work, what is the first error message you receive?

You could also check out if something is in the log file which is located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Application Data\TimeSnapper\TimeSnapper.log

Please let us know how this works out!

Best regards,
Atli

Hi again,

We still haven't heard of anyone having this problem.  I've attached an empty database to this post which you could use.  Please put it in the folder where you found the old database and see if that fixes your problem (which it should).

Thanks
