Flag dialog disappears off screen

Just been scratching my head for about 10 mins - my Flag Dialog had disappeared. I would invoke an action to bring up the dialog box - the Task bar would update to show the the Flag dialog box was there but it was not visible on the screen.

Eventually the penny dropped - for some reason TS was displaying it off the screen. Right clicking on the Task Bar icon and selecting Move brought it back onto the screen.

I am not sure how this happened - I was working with my dual screens at the time (this on a portable where I swap between dual screen and a single screen) but is there a way of checking the location of the dialog box and making sure that it always appears on the visible screen.

I've created a bug entry in our bug tracking system: Saved Dialog positions should be ignored if out of bounds (out of visible area)

Hi rcollings, thanks for telling us about this.

i just heard about this problem yesterday, in a project unrelated to timesnapper.

it turns out that when you either go from dual to single monitors, or if you have two monitors and switch which one is a primary monitor -- then every application which remembers window positions will be caught out (unless it checks for out of bounds)

This has been fixed for all dialogs in the latest version (v. 2.6.3).
