Timebar should always show a full 24 hour period?
Reply Quote
I don't know what others think of this but personally I would prefer that the timebar has a fixed scale.

At the moment, the scale is adjusted so that (eg) if you have just worked 2 hours in the day on view, the 2 hour period takes up the full width of the window (pretty well).

However, if you are looking a day where you have worked a full 24 hours, then the scale is shrunk to fit the full 24 hours on the screen.

I personally find this confusing as times of day change location in moving from one day to the next (and the lenght of time also changes - ie an hour in the former case is a lot longer than an hour in the latter case)

Would be possible to provide an option to have a fixed scale?

Richard

Hi Richard,

we're considering this and the best way to implement it.  This overlaps a little with another task we have, redefining what constitutes a day :)

In your case, would you have it fixed to show all 24 hours (from 00-24).  The (minor) problem with this is it's a little harder to click on the timebar with accuracy (those who need the accuracy could use the Zoom feature)

Thanks
Atli
