"Oh my, oh my", I thought this rainy evening, while having my daily share of procrastination. I had just been lazily trying to get rid of a distracting idea about creating a piece of software which could record anything you'd do and help you to, for example, keep a work journal, so your mind would be freed for more enjoyable matters. I had taken a couple of drinks and wandered to my bed with my laptop to do some work. I was soon maybe too drowsy to resist, and my mind took me to Internet. Suddenly Google threw TimeSnapper at my surprised face, and I almost dropped my best ivory pipe.
Having played with this tool for a short while now, I wanted to express my gratitude. I just browsed my first evening's recordings, and was pleased to find the tool manifesting my productivity score very truthfully being 0% for the whole evening.
I was wondering, would it be worth the effort to add a plugin API, with which a diligent programmer could add her own analyzers. TimeSnapper would take care of calling them at certain times, providing the current context as input, including the currently active window, maybe its contents etc. That way it might be possible to enhance the program into a fine automatization tool for, i.e. documentation tasks. "It seems that you just deployed an MyApplication.ear file to some WebLogic server you have, so I'll write it down into journal for you".

Hi James! Thanks for the entertaining story :)
I'm happy to inform you that the plugin API is almost complete (It does provide the information you are requesting even)... it's actually in the latest release, we just haven't documented the API, nor provided any samples.
... but once we release it, I'm pretty sure people will find all sorts of interesting ways of using it!
