Bug: Only capturing one screen on two monitor setup... (FIXED)
Reply Quote
I'm running Vista and have two monitors. If my monitors are setup like this:
Monitor 2 | Monitor 1 (in 'Display settings')
TimeSnapper Pro will only capture Monitor 1, and the capture file (.png) will look like this:
Monitor 1 | Black screen.
If I move the monitors in 'Display settings' like this:
Monitor 1 | Monitor 2
Everything behaves normally.

This started to happen when I upgraded to 2.7.0.2 before that I ran 2.4 with no problems with the same monitor setup.

Hi, this is an unfortunate bug introduced with the latest release.  I've fixed it and the fix will come with the next version.  Sorry about that and thanks for the report!

Best regards
Atli

Hey Atli,

The OP mentioned Vista. FWIW, I have the same issue with XP (In case your fix is platform dependant).

Is there a way to find out the estimated release date for the fixed version?

Thank you for finding and fixing it so quickly!

Andy

Hey Andy,

the fix should fix the issue on both (all) platforms.

I can't give you any time estimates currently but in the mean time, you could theoratically use the v2.6.3 of TimeSnapper which didn't have this bug. Here is the download path to it:
http://timesnapper.com/downloads/TIMESnapperPro_v2.6.3.zip

Extract it over your current installation (in your c:\program files\timesnapper\).

Sorry about the trouble!

Thanks
Atli
