Draggable flags in day browsing View
Reply Quote
Would it be possible to make flags in day browsing view draggable (and adjust time to match position after releasing, of course..) ?

My daily work includes "event driven" phases where I get interrupted by phonecalls / emails and have to solve support problems "real quick".
So I often set my task flags in the evening before the end of day because I don't take the time to inform Timesnapper about my task switches during the day.
('Hold  on a sec - let me just switch the task in my time tracking software, then I can take care of the software problem on your 24/7 assembly line with 30+ workers idling...')

I'm creating my tasks later on based on the captured screens, but changing the time of a task is a bit messy (once I set a flag in the day overview, the only way to move it is to edit the time of the particular flag).
I'm not sure how you store the flags (I hope they are just a point in time and a task end is determined by the next task or end of day), but I think it would be a great if the flags were draggable on the time line.

Keep up your great work - I really love the flexibility of the integration which allowed me to get rid of that #*"! time sheet client software I am supposed to use.

Hi Henrich!

I like the idea!  I've added it to our internal task tracking database (case 1168, for future reference)

That's absolutely correct :)

I don't know if this is quite what the original request was for, but I'd like to see Flags (Tasks) where they have a start and end time.

Here's the scenario I'd like to see supported:

- I'm working on Project X
- User calls related to Project Y
- I want to be able to drag a flag or set a start/stop time so that, later, when I'm going over my time, I can see sections instead of dots for flags that were entered.

Does that make sense?

I'm picturing the way that schedules/appointments work in the Outlook calendar view.

Thanks for the great product!

David
