Great improvements to the Activity Cloud (word cloud) report: Click on a word in the cloud to zoom in. This generates a new cloud with only words related to the previously clicked word. You can also click the "View Activity" link to see all activity relating to that word in the Activity Search dialog. The cloud is now more useful, because: Users can now configure what words/phrases to exclude from the word cloud Users can configure what words to keep together in the cloud, e.g. names Added the ability to import exclude lists from a file. This is useful to exclude frequent words from other languages Two word lists are shipped with the installation: "Top 100" word lists for German and Spanish ("Activity Cloud" is a report, available by right-clicking anywhere in the application and selecting "Reports") Bugfixes: Multi-monitor screenshots were broken for users with "unusual" monitor placement (e.g. monitor 2 on the left of monitor 1). Program statistics report: firefox could appear multiple times in the report because of case sensitivity. Auto-popup: Allow users to enter Zero in "after X seconds of inactivity" in the "Auto-popup note-taking reminder configuration" Timesheet database integration: transactions switched off if provider is mysqlprov other minor bugfixes Technical: Moved to Microsoft .NET framework, version 2.0 which will make it easier for us to add a number of long awaited features Replaced the webbrowser control with a .net version of it (no longer a need for interop .dlls) Enjoy and please share any feedback you have! Or at least the "Check for Updates" function should have alerted me... (it still tells me I'm up to date with my v2.7)... So I can install this right over my current 2.7 ? I'm only asking because the "auto-update can't be used" kind of seems to suggest this... Cheers, Oliver    Report

Hi Oliver, we didn't implement the auto-updater here because of the the v. 3.0  uses the .NET framework 2.0, which is not on all computers.  If we had updated TimeSnapper automatically on a computer which doesn't have the .NET 2.0, it would have crashed with some funky errors. At some point we're forced to do it though - just to get the auto-updater back... probably soon (like around v. 3.1) Check out TimeSnapper, the automatic screenshot journal at www.timesnapper.com It runs in the background of your computer, taking screenshots of your desktop every few seconds all week long. Well, I don't care so much about auto-updating as that wouldn't work from my regular limited user account anyway. I just think the Check for Updates function should have told me that a newer version was available. Granted I have found the RSS feed now but that was pure coincidence because I was checking back on the forums. If I hadn't done that I would never have noticed... Cheers, Oliver    Report
