Exceptions for browsers

Hello,

First of all I would like to say that I like this application - at first glance TS is simple and usability is high.

I'm tracking my activities, but have problems with differentating productivity time and procratstination time on web browser usage. I would like to exclude some sites from productive time eg. gmail or yahoo. Is there such an option? When can it be implemented?

Regards,
Michal

hello mnihas, thanks for writing.

Thank you! We do our best.

Currently we can't quite do what you're asking.

What you can do differentiate certain sites as "productive" by adding "Productivity Keywords" into the "Productivity Wizard."

For me I mark all browser time as unproductive, but then add in a few productive keywords, e.g. Asp.net, C#, and the title of any web sites/projects I'm working on. That way a portion of my browsing will be marked as productive.

But to satisfy what you've asked for, we'd need the inverse of this: we'd need to add "Unproductive Keywords" -- you're actually the first person to ask for this. If other people chip in and request it then we could look into it.

We're generally reluctant to add more steps to the wizard, because it brings a usability penalty with it. As things become more versatile they also become daunting and confusing to use. So I think I'll leave your suggestion hanging for now -- and see if other "up mod" it.

cheers!
