Refesh button for Browse Day function

If would be useful to be able to hit a refresh button (F5?) to bring an already open Browse Day view up to date.

Use Timesnapper primarily to help me complete my timesheets. Every couple of hours I use it to look back at what I have been doing and then update my timesheet.

I quite often leave TS Day Browser open in the intervening period so when I come back to do my timesheet it still showing the situation a couple of hours ago.

In order to update the view, I hit the left arrow to go back to the previous day's view and then the right arrow to return to the current day.

This is a bit slow and slightly irritating. I would be good to be able to do this with a single key stroke.

Good idea -- i'd use it too.

We already have this feature in our backlog -- but i've raised the priority. (It's assigned to me, as item 263)

Also, i've simplified the feature request down to just allow for F5 refresh.

What we were aiming for previously was to have some kind of auto updating... but that's a significantly more complex feature to design, implement and test.

A plain old F5 refresh sounds like a great investment.

Ah, I should've realised this... we're already using the F5 key as a short cut for "Run/Play"

i've put it in as Ctrl-F5 - the same as a 'hard refresh' in FireFox and IE

That was quick! Sounds good to me.

<Update: just thought a toolbar 'Refesh' button would be good too - as, based on what I just did, I am quite often mousing rather than keyboarding at the point the TS browser pops up. And buttons are more obvious (I didn't know or had forgotten that F5 stopped and started play)

What happened to this? I was looking forward to seeing it in the next release but there is no sign of it in 3.2.0.12 which has just installed itself

you're dead right -- my fault.
I made that change, but i didn't check it into the main branch as it is tied up in files i've been changing to allow for plug-in support. (I was hoping to release plug in support as version 3.2 but didn't)

Hey - these things happen. Any idea when we might see it?

it's checked into the main build now. So if there's any patch releases it will be included.
The likelihood of that happening is pretty high. I'll follow up here if we do.
